Turkey Officially Reopened For Tourism

Turkey has now officially lifted all of its covid travel restrictions and has extensively prepared to welcome back tourists with its new regulations and prevention programs in place. The country has launched the Safe Tourism Programme and their borders are now open to all international tourists.

Entry Requirements for Turkey

  • All nations that require an e-visa or stamp visa will obtain one prior to entering Turkey

  • Tourists are required to wear a face-mask during the inbound flight to Turkey, as well as in the airport. Any tourist not wearing a mask will be denied entry.

  • Travelers agree to a mandatory health screening and temperature check.

  • Upon arrival and stay in Turkey, travelers must be wearing face masks in public spaces, including in Ankara and Istanbul.

There is currently NO mandatory testing for tourists going into Turkey.

Any passengers arriving that shows symptoms of coronavirus such as high fever, coughing, or difficulty in breathing will be required to take a PCR swab test. In the case when the test returns positive, the traveler will be provided medical treatment at an approved Ministry of Health facility of a private medical facility in Turkey at the traveler’s own expense. Turkey has also made it more convenient and took into account their tourists safety and comfort - COVID-19 tourist protection and support insurance packages other than the normally required travel insurance is now provided from partnered insurance companies and travel agencies.

Museums have now reopened and sanity measures are taken to ensure the place is as sanitized as it can be. Istanbul’s famous Grand Bazaar has also reopened after closing its area for two months as of June 1st.
